I have been asked how that firing came about. Here's the conversation as I recall it.
Aaron told me words to the effect that I wasn't worth the money I was being paid.
I replied: then it'd be best to plan on me not returning the next year (as I had no intention of working for him for less).
He said that he could do better than that and get me out of there right now.
I replied, "Whatever you prefer."
He then told me to make my project for the remainder of my evening, packing my stuff and going.
I clocked out, gathered my things and left.
A few days later, as I was arranging to have my tools sent home, he apologized for "blowing up at me," saying that he had a lot of stress in his personal life. The apology didn't change my employment status, though.
